Small changes make a big difference.

We brought Everyday Essentials on the 1st March 2017 and quickly realised how true that statement is. Everything we sold was non eco, non refillable, full of plastic and excess packaging. We decided to make changes to the products we sold and the businesses we used and started to offer eco or more environmentally friendly alternatives to our customers. Over the past five and a half years we have changed most of the shop and now only stock a few non eco/refill products.

Our customers have evolved with us and many of them use eco products and refill them when needed.

We have a wide range of refillable liquids (which are also available in retail bottles).

Other products available loose are wild bird foods, dry foods and, NEW FROM MAY 2022, sweets! 

Loyalty cards

We have 2 types of loyalty cards available. Both are free and can be used together.

General loyalty card. Collect 1 stamp for every £5 spent in store. A full card (10 stamps) gives you 10% off your next purchase.

Sweet loyalty card. Collect 1 stamp for every £1 spent on sweets in your own container. A full card (10 stamps) gives you £1 worth of sweets free, but must also be in your own container. (We set this card up to try to teach children about refills so it’s something they feel comfortable doing when they’re adults.)

We also offer 10% off when spending £30+ for local businesses and 10% off for Emergency Service staff on duty (any amount). (Neither can be used together with the loyalty cards)
